I was then in my junior high school when I was accepted as the youngest columnist, writer and contributor for Philippines' leading local magazine, Liwayway. I was then earning a handsome 50.00 per page in a weekly basis. Computer was not famous yet and I used my grandpa's old heavyweight midnight noisy Underwood typewriter.

My father used to scold me as the noisiest in the neighborhod. Until I showed him my first printed release with my name on it. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "ok that's very good, go ahead, be the midnight cricket and wake up all our nbeighbors. I don't mind"
